amazake muesli
Why not try adding amazake to your muesli?
There is no set recipe – simply add 1 tablespoon of amazake to your usual muesli.
Amazake is rich in nutrients and has been valued since ancient times as a kind of ‘drink infusion’. It contains many B vitamins and essential amino acids that strengthen the immune system. In addition, it provides fibre and oligosaccharides, which have a probiotic effect, improve the intestinal environment and can activate immune cells. It is more effective to take it for breakfast.
Tips
- Replace oatmeal with sprouted oats or sprouted buckwheat. You can find sprouting jars for this at organic markets – sprouting only takes 1–2 days and enriches your muesli with additional enzymes and vitamins.
- It is best to soak soft nuts such as almonds in water overnight – this makes them easier to digest.
- If you use yoghurt instead of milk, you will also support your immune system, as the lactic acid bacteria it contains have a positive effect on the gut.
