September 2019 with Luc Dunberry and Hitomi Higashi
We are very happy to announce the seventh equinox exhibition and dinner at mimi. This time Luc Dunberry will perform with Michael Rauter. Hitomi will present a special equinox dinner based on the theory of Yin-Yan and Five Elements.
Luc Dunberry was born in Canada. He studied music, theatre and dance at CEGEP de Sherbrooke, Université du Québec à Montréal and Les Ateliers de danse moderne de Montréal. During his time as a member of Le Groupe de la Place Royale/Dance Lab in Ottawa (1994-1996) he meets Sasha Waltz who invites him to join her company. Working as an interpreter with Sasha Waltz&Guests since 1996, he has also created his own pieces on stage and film. He’s also working within Sasha Waltz as rehearsal director on company productions and on invited projects, recently with Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris and the Mariinsky Thatre in St-Petersburg.
Born in Japan, Hitomi Higashi spent several years living in the countryside homegrowing rice and vegetables. She has taught macrobiotic and vegan cuisine for more than 10 years, has published several books on lifestyle and on macrobiotic home cooking in Japan and has a special interest in the role of Eastern philosophy in the art of cooking. She is a certified Macrobiotic Adviser, was trained in alternative medicine after Hildegard von Bingen.
