equinox 15

March 2025 with Ayaka Azechi                                                                                   

We are happy to announce our 15th Equinox fermentation dinner. This time we will collaborate with the dancer Ayaka Azechi.


On the 22nd and 23rd of March Reiko Kanazawa and Yuki Nishino will prepare for a multi course equinox menu with fermented food. The carefully crafted dishes will incorporate regional German ingredients and products by mimi.    

Ayaka Azechi was born in Tokyo Japan, currently based between Berlin and Tokyo. Since 2009, She has worked as a dancer with Sasha Waltz & Guests. She began leaning modern dance from Miyako Kato at an early age. From 2001 to 2002, She studied at the Asagaya College of Art and Design, where she choreographed her solo "Ashi" (Leg). From 2002 to 2005 she was a member of the company Kim Itoh + the Glorious Future. She enrolled in Kasai's butoh school from 2006 to 2007 in Japan. She was given the grant for Japanese Government Overseas Study Program  for Artists from 2008. She is a trainee of the Pola Art Foundation 2011. She works with another artists of various genres and performs her Solo. She danced with Fumiyo Ikeda 2014 in Japan and collabprated with Maria Colusi (dance) Edgardo Rudnitzky(Music) and Kazuki Nakahara(Drawing) 2015 in Dock11 Berlin. In 2022 She performed in a prodaction “RESISTANZ” by Jiří Bartovanec in Zionskirche Berlin. In 2024 She worked with Sasa Queliz as a dancer for the piece “Broken Bones”in Berlin.
