Kuro means black in Japanese, and Kuromoji essential oil is a key ingredient in this perfume. Kuromoji is a plant native to Japan that has long been used there for medicinal purposes and as a tea. Its beautiful, graceful scent is the starting point for this perfume, which describes a balmy summer night in a southern country, a night-time stroll with no particular destination. The alcohol in this perfume was macerated with rice koji. This rounded off its sharpness and added a hint of koji fragrance to the alcohol. Other main ingredients of the unisex perfume are budda wood, cypress and rosewood.
